No need for Sunderland to use up one of their 9 lives on Saturday as they thrashed Everton 3-0 at the Stadium of Light last night amid joyous scenes at the Stadium of Light.

Last night's win not only confirmed their premiership status for next season but condemned neighbours Newcastle United and Norwich City to a season in the Championship.

Everton looked hapless last night and you have to think that there will be a change at the helm before next season.

Rafa Benitez has already stated that he would not stay if Newcastle were relegated- if so, let's hope they act quickly for their sakes.
