The French football nation was in ecstasy last night after their football team held the mighty Germans at bay for 90 minutes and then picked them off thanks to a dubious penalty on the stroke of half time from star man Griezmann, and a worthy match winner midway through the second half from the same. Germany dominated possession, especially in the first half, but they could not find a way past a resolute French back four and keeper Lloris, who pulled off a number of world class saves.

France will face Portugal in Sunday’s final and it’s sure to be a fascinating encounter between two defensively solid teams with plenty of attacking flair on show, in particular tournament top-scorer Greizmann (6 goals) and Ronaldo (3 goals and 3 assists).
