
The Toronto Masters 1000 Series has now reached the quarter-final stage and at the time of writing second seed Stan Wawrinka and third seed Kei Nishikori were through to the last eight from the bottom half the draw.
Wawrinka will face the unseeded Kevin Anderson, while Nishikori will face Grigor Dimitrov for a place in Saturday’s semi-finals tonight.
Tenth seed and Washington winner Gael Monfils continued his good form seeing off seventh seed Goffin last night and will face the winner between fourth seed Raonic and qualifier Donaldson.
Top seed Novak Djokovic and fifth seed Tomas Berdych should have both progressed to the quarter-finals against qualifiers Stepanek and Harrison respectively, by the time you read this article, and will face each other for a spot in the semi-finals on Saturday.
