This Weeks ATP tennis action at New Haven is down to the last 16 stage and top-seed Richard Gasquet and second seed Roberto Bautista Agut are both still in action. Bautista Agut faces unseeded Baghdatis next and trails the head-to-head 1-0 and don’t be surprised if Baghdatis wins this one as he’s got the game and experience to cause the upset.

Fifth seed Kevin Anderson crashed out at the first time of asking against unseeded Jiri Vesely (16/1), who has to be respected as a major challenger now as he has all the attributes of former winners of this tournament. Seventh seed Gilles Simon also crashed out at the first time of asking against the diminutive Diego Schwartzman. Other seeds to crash at the first time of asking where eighth seed Ramos-Vinolas, tenth seed Sousa, 11th seed Lorenzi and 13th seed Delbonis.

Sixth seed Sam Querrey (advised 20/1) is through to the fourth round and faces a tricky encounter against Serbia’s Victor Troicki with the head-to-head standing at 2-2. Fourth seed Steve Johnson is also through to the fourth round and faces 16th seed Verdasco and with the Spaniard leading the head-to-head 3-0 and being the outsider Johnson has to be opposed on this occasion.

Third seed Pablo Cuevas is also still in action and faces a tough one against the in form Carreno-Busta seeded 16 while Schwartzman and Lu and Fratangelo and Millman will guarantee two unseeded players will contest the quarter-finals tomorrow as they face each other tonight.
