Leicester got their first ever Champions League campaign off to an impressive winning start on Wednesday night beating Club Brugge 3-0 at the Jan Breydel Stadium thanks to a brace from star man Riyhad Mahrez. Manchester City’s delayed tie against Borussia Monchengladbach at the Etihad was completed on Wednesday night and the Premier League leaders made light work of the German visitors thrashing them 4-0 thanks to an Aguero hat-trick.

Spurs disappointed against Monaco losing 2-1 at White Hart Lane while defending champions Real Madrid were fortunate to get their campaign off to a winning start against Sporting Lisbon at the Santiago Bernabeu. Lisbon lead for from the 48th minute and it took an 89th minute strike from Ronaldo and a 94th minute winner from Morata to spare their embarrassment.

It’s been a disappointment week for Manchester United who lost the crunch Manchester Derby last Saturday and their fortunes did not improve in the Europa League last night against Feyenord who beat them 1-0 at the De Kuip stadium. Southampton fared better in their first outing in the Europa League this season seeing of Sparta Prague comfortably at St Mary’s.

This weekend’s Premier League action gets underway tonight and it’s the tie of the weekend between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. With the plethora of attacking talent at both team’s disposal and Liverpool’s high pressing attacking style of football the game is sure to feature plenty of scoring opportunities. The Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals appeals from a betting perspective and laying Chelsea from a trading perspective also appeals.
