The Aintree Festival starts today.
An exciting three days ahead
Having said that if you take away the Grand National and the Topham it is the poorest festival I can remember.
A major factor is the scarcity of Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott horses- Aintree's position in between Cheltenham and Punchestown is costing it dearly . They need to significantly increase prize money if they are to attract the best horses.
A really exciting day for me and the other owners of Bedrock today as he runs in the Anniversary Hurdle at 2.20 - he will definitely run better than his current sp and has every chance of placing.
My bet of the day is My Tent Or Yours each way in the 3.25- he has run well in this before and has his ground.
