Vincente Makes History At Ayr.

A beautiful day at Ayr yesterday and a capacity crowd witnessed Vicente make history in the Scottish Grand National by becoming the first horse to win the Scottish Grand National in successive years.

Vicente wore down his jockey's fathers gallant Cogry on the run in to give trainer Paul Nicholls an outside chance of winning the trainers title just as he had done a year ago.

Earlier Nicholls came agonizingly close to winning the Scottish Champion Hurdle with zubayr.
