Chelsea’s went seven points clear at the top of the Premier League last night thanks to a 4-2 victory against Southampton at Stamford Bridge. Club top-scorer Costa was the hero on the night as he bagged a second half brace and Hazard and Cahill added the other two. Spurs will get the chance to reduce Chelsea’s lead to four points tonight against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and with both teams playing well this has the potential to be a high quality game with plenty of attacking flair on show and goal mouth action.
There are two other Premier League games tonight between Arsenal and Leicester City at the Emirates and a relegation six pointer between north east rivals Sunderland and Middlesbrough at the Stadium of Light. Leicester are now safe from relegation and with nothing left to play for this season I expect Arsenal will win this one comfortably 2-1 or 3-1, while the north east derby between Sunderland and Boro could go either way and the end result is a tough one to call.
