This week’s ATP Tennis action at Munich, Estoril and Istanbul is now down to the quarter-final stage and there have already been plenty of shocks and upsets at all three events. At Munich five seeds crashed out on Wednesday and Thursday, including top-seed Monfils who lost against NextGen star Chung and fifth seed and defending champion Kohlschreiber who crashed out against Zeballos.
The top-our seeds Carreno-Busta, Gasquet, Muller and Ferrer are still in action at Estoril but we could lose Carreno-Busta and Muller today as they face stiff opposition in former winner Almagro and the talented and underrated Daniel today. Gasquet and Ferrer should progress without too much drama against Anderson and Harrison respectively, as neither are really at home on the red dirt.
At Istanbul four of the five top-seeds are still in action; top-seed Raonic, second seed Cilic, third seed Schwartzman and fifth seed Troicki. On current form and at the prices I would not be getting heavily involved with Raonic (1.14) against Tomic or Cilic (1.25) against Darcis today and Troicki is also worth opposing against Djere today.
