Britain’s Kyle Edmunds fairy-tale run at this years Australian Open came to an end yesterday as he found world number six Marin Cilic to good. Edmunds looked physically and mentally jaded during the match going down in straight sets 6-2 7-6 6-2. He will no doubt learn huge amounts from his experience and it will hopefully spur him on to bigger and better things. Cilic is through to his third Grand Slam final and first at the Australian Open as well as becoming the first Croation male or female to achieve this. Cilic will face the winner of the Federer and Chung semi-final which was due to take place this morning around 8.30am. The women’s final which takes place on Saturday will be between top-seed Halep and second -seed Wozniaki, who will both aim to win a much overdue first Grand Slam.
