The midweek Premier League action continues tonight with two more games and of course the blockbuster Manchester derby. Last night Spurs held on for a hard fought 1-0 win against relegation battlers Brighton who are three points clear of third bottom Cardiff and fellow relegation strugglers Southampton could not hold on for a 1-0 win at Watford and while a point moved them three clear of Brighton neither team is mathematically safe.
Tonight’s two matches are between Wolves and Arsenal at Molineux and a win for Wolves would move them up to outright seventh above Watford and if Arsenal win they will leapfrog Chelsea and go outright fourth but their away form this season suggests the Gunners will struggle to win this one especially as Wolves have been playing so well at home this season.
The Manchester derby is City’s game in hand and City really need to win it as if they do and win the rest of their remaining league games, they will be crowned Premier League title again. A draw is really no help for either team so United will be doing everything they can to spoil City’s title chasing hopes but on current form that looks unlikely and a high scoring win for rampant City is more likely.
