Normal business was resumed on the ATP Tour last week as world number one Novak Djokovic crushed Milos Raonic 6-2 6-0 yesterday to win an unprecedented fifth Indian Wells Masters 1000 Series title. It’s safe to say Djokovic’s dominance is now without equal and he continues to set the benchmark well and truly above all his rivals, who cannot come anywhere near to matching his consistency at the elite level of the sport.
The way Djokovic stays motivated, focussed and primed to produce his best tennis at the majority of major tournaments is a true sign of his greatness and he looks set to rewrite his fairy-tale story again this week at the Miami Masters, as he goes for a third consecutive title and an unprecedented sixth in total.
