Midterm 's Bubble Burst In Dante

Derby ante post favourite Midterm could only finish a well beaten 5th in yesterday's Dante Stakes at York.

Once again it was the Dettori/ Gosden combination that lifted the days big prize. 9/1 outsider Wings of Desire got up late under a strong ride from Frankie to stake a Derby Claim. I would not write off Gosden's other runner yesterday, Foundation who finished third under a sympathetic ride.

The final day of the Dante Festival today features the Yorkshire Cup. The Frankie/Gosden partnership could score again with Flying Officer and make it a memorable festival.
