An adage that applied totally to last night's Europa League Final.

The first half was dominated by Liverpool who led 1-0 at half time courtesy of a superb goal by Daniel Sturridge- could easily have been 3-0 and Seville barely threatened.

Right from the kick off in the second half it was totally different- Sevilla totally overran Liverpool scoring three and missing numerous chances.

Liverpool looked exhausted - probably the results of playing their high pressing game many times in the last two months.

No European football for them next year which may be a blessing as Klopp starts rebuilding.

I think they are a good bet for all competitions next season on the basis that one will stick.
