On the eve of Euro 2016 England's 23 man squad for the tournament has been confirmed, with Leicester's Danny Drinkwater, Newcastle's Andros Townsend and Manchester City's Fabian Delph (injury) the unfortunate players to miss out. England Manager Roy Hodgson surprisingly handed a place to 18 year old Manchester United star Marcus Rashford, meaning the squad will have no less than five strikers, in addition to three goal keepers, seven defenders and eight midfielders.
Hodgson and the England squad will get one more chance to impress home fans before Euro 2016 gets underway, when they face Portugal at Wembley in their final preparation match this Thursday. This will arguably be there biggest test before their first match of Group B against Russia on 11th June in Marseille and it will provide Hodgson, the players and most importantly their opponents with a true reflection of their chances of success.
