The pre-season transfer markets are heating up and the big Premier League clubs have already been flexing their financial muscle securing the signings of a number of high profile players. Chelsea have secured the services of Marseille and France International striker Michy Batshuayi for £33 million and also snatched arguably Leicester’s best player last season and France International Kante for an undisclosed fee.

Manchester City forked out £21 million for Borrusia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and £13 million for Spanish striker Nolito from Barcelona (on loan at Celta Vigo). Neighbours Manchester United secured the highest profile transfer of the summer so far, securing the services of PSG and Sweden International striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. They’ve also signed Borrusia Dortmund and Armenian International attacking midfielder Henrikh Mikhitaryan for £26 million as well as Villareal defender Eric Bailly for an undisclosed fee.

Spurs have strengthened their attacking options securing the services of Victor Wanyama from Southampton and Vincent Jannsen from AZ Alkmarr, clearly with their European commitments in mind. Liverpool strengthened their attacking options signing Sadio Mane from Southampton for an undisclosed fee and also improved their defensive options signing Joel Matip from Schalke for an undisclosed fee and keeper Loris Karius for £4.5 million from Mainz.

Premier League champions Leicester have been busy in the pre-season transfer market brining in five players; defenders Luis Hernandez from Sporting G and Nampalys Mendy from Nice, both for undisclosed fees and midfielder Ahmed Musa from CSK Moscow and form Man Utd keeper Ron-Robert Zieler from Hannover.
