The next England Football Manager saga finally came to an end yesterday and bookies favourite Sam Allardyce was announced as the FA's new man, beating the likes of Steve Bruce, Eddie Howe and Jurgen Klinsmann to the lucrative role. Allardyce's current employers Sunderland will not be happy losing the man that kept them in the Premier League the last two seasons however, the FA will have to compensate them and with this likely being a tidy sum they should have no trouble in finding a suitable replacement, albeit three weeks prior to the start of the new season is not ideal.
