Top two seeds and tournament favourites Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic are still on track to meet in the final of the World Tour Finals in London (advised 11/4). Djokovic won all three of his John McEnroe Group matches to easily qualify for Saturday’s semi-finals where he could face either, Murray, Nishikori or Wawrinka depending on the results of today’s final John McEnroe Group matches.

Murray just has to win a set against Stan Wawrinka (advised 14/1) at 2pm today to guarantee winning the Ivan Lendl Group and reach the semi-finals, where he would face Milos Raonic, who defeated Dominic Thiem 7-6 6-3 yesterday to finish runner up in the John McEnroe group. I can see Murray winning a set against Wawrinka, but really struggling physically and mentally after his epic long match against Nishikori on Wednesday night and it’s definitely worth opposing Murray on the exchanges (1/3).

If Murray loses in straight sets against Wawrinka and Nishikori loses against Cilic, then Murray and Wawrinka would qualify for the semi-finals and first and second place would be decided by their sets and games won record. However, it’s unlikely Nishikori will lose against Cilic today as Cilic cannot qualify and given his form this week, and I see Nishikori winning in straight sets (13/8). If he does and Murray loses in straight sets then Nishikori would win there group and play Raonic, while Murray would have to play Djokovic, which would be a straight shoot out for the number one ranking, as it would be if they met in Sunday’s final.
