Tragic Death Of Many Clouds
Racing fans were stunned yesterday afternoon by the tragic death of Many Clouds who collapsed and died after winning an epic duel with the previously unbeaten Thistlecraft.
We should all spend a few moments today thinking about this wonderful horse who never gave less than 100 per cent throughout his career.
Yesterday's performance was his finest ever in a glittering career which included winning the Grand National and Hennessy Gold Cup
He was the darling of Centaur clients having landed a 33/1 win in the Grand National and a 12/1 win in the Hennessy Gold Cup
We will miss that handsome nose banded head thrusting its way to victory. Our commiseration to Oliver Sherwood and Trevor Hemmings
Dodgy Tipster Alert !
Could not believe my eyes yesterday.
I was settling down to watch the fantastic racing yesterday in my local William Hill shop when who should come on the screen purporting to be an expert tipster but Craig Forsyth.
Forsyth left Centaur under a cloud in 2005.
He is a tipping legend - in his own mind however!
His record yesterday - 1 win from 12 tips ( Un de Sceaux at 1/2) is more a reflection of his real ability.
Maybe he is William Hill's secret weapon !
A great card at Leopardstown today.
Blood Crazed Tiger a good each way bet in the 2.0.
