Chelsea continued their march to the Premier League title at the weekend seeing off one of their pre-season main rivals Arsenal 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal dropped to fourth after Spurs beat Middlesbrough 1-0 and Manchester City beat Swansea 2-1 yesterday. The relegation battle heated up at the weekend and there are now only two points separating the bottom six.

Sunderland and Hull gave their survival hopes a major boost on Saturday; Sunderland thrashed Crystal Palace 4-0 at Selhurst Park and Hull beat Liverpool 2-0 at the KCOM Stadium. Everton produced the performance of the day thrashing Bournemouth 6-3 at Goodison Park and striker Romanu Lukaku was the star netting four goals. West Ham continued their good away-form easily beating Southampton 3-1 at St Mary’s and West Brom and Watford won their home encounters against Stoke and Burnley respectively.
