Manchester United moved one step closer to reaching their first Europa League final last night as they defeated Celta Vigo 1-0 in the first leg of their semi-final at the Balaidos Stadium. Striker Marcus Rashford was the hero on the night netting the only goal from a splendid free kick midway through the second half and the vital away goal could prove invaluable in the return leg at Old Trafford next Thursday.

On the domestic front last night the first legs of the League One play-offs were completed and Bradford will take a 1-0 lead in to the return leg against Fleetwood, while the first leg encounter between Millwall and Scunthorpe ended goalless. Tonight’s domestic action is from the Premier League and it’s a big game in terms of the title race as West Ham host Spurs at the London Stadium. If Spurs win they will close the gap on leaders Chelsea to one point, which puts a lot more pressure on the Blues, who face relegation threatened Middlesbrough at the Bridge on Monday night.
