A great start for our selections with R Fowler leading by 2 shots on 7 under. Closely followed by B Koepka, T Fleetwood, M Leishman,J Lovemark, P Casey, S Lowry and B Weisberger!!! The favourites D Johnson, J Day a R Mcilroy struggling at over par as I write with a few holes to go!! The course is tough with any player not on the fairway of the tee caught up in severe rough!!! Too early to get carried away I guarantee the leaderboard will change dramatically each day the only real disappointment is J Rahm who had a dreadful start at 4 over!!It was a good day for British players with L Westwood , J Rose and A ( beef) Johnson all close up on leaderboard. If we can get to Sunday's final round with a similar leaderboard I will be clued to sky sports 4, don't rule out S Garcia who played well and was unlucky not to be one of the leaders??
