Manchester United maintained their 100% record in the Champions league last night and lead in Group A, thanks to a one-sided Lukaku inspired 4-1 away at CSKA Moscow. Lukaku netted a first half brace and he was joined in the fun by Martial and Mkhitaryan. Along with neighbours City they have made an impressive start to the season and both teams could be dark horses for the tournament this year. Chelsea rode their luck in Madrid and recorded a miraculous and extremely fortune 2-1 win thanks to Batshuayi’s 94th minute injury time winner.

PSG signalled their arrival as serious challengers with a comfortable 2-0 win at home against the mighty Bayern Munich in Group B, and the French champions are now clear favourites to win the group. Elsewhere on the night Roma were too good for new boys Qarabag winning 2-1 in Baku, Azerbaijan. After a 0-5 trashing at the hands of PSG on the opening week Celtic made amends with a 3-0 win away at Anderlecht. Basel who are second in Group A thrashed Benfica 5-0 in Switzerland, while European giants Barcelona and Juventus just scraped past Sporting and Olympiakos 1-0 and 2-0 respectively in Group D that left Barcelona top and Juventus in second.
