The English domestic football action gets underway tonight with a London Derby Championship fixture between QPR and Fulham at Loftus Road and from a betting perspective the best plays to me look like opposing QPR, backing Fulham on the Handicap with a goal start or backing Both Teams to Score ‘Yes’. The Premier League action gets underway on Saturday with the traditional lunchtime kick-off this time between Huddersfield and Spurs at the Kirklees stadium. The other teams that were involved in the Champions League midweek, Manchester City and United and Chelsea, are all in action on Saturday as well and the match of the day is of course between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge at tea-time.
From a betting perspective I wouldn’t advise putting the likes of Spurs and Manchester United in your accumulators after playing in Europe midweek, but United look like they might have the strength of squad to start winning on both fronts when they are in European action. The blockbuster clash between Chelsea and Manchester City looks like City might have the advantage having played at home in Europe midweek, but the safest play looks to be Over 2.5 Goals or the Match Double Both Teams to Score ‘Yes’ and Over 2.5 Goals. Finally, West Ham look like a good bet to collect all three points at home against Swansea.
