It was a good night for English clubs in the Champions League last night as Manchester City continued their unbeaten start to the season and extended their winning run to ten matches against Napoli at the Etihad winning 2-1 thanks to first half strikes from Jesus and Sterling. Liverpool travelled to Slovenia to face Maribor and it was a romp for the visitors who won 7-0 and Firmino and Salah both netted first half braces. Finally, Spurs travelled to the Bernabeu to face defending champions Real Madrid and will be more than happy having left with a point after the 1-1 draw.
