Saxon Warrior's determined effort in the Racing Post Trophy gave Aiden O Brien the world record for Group 1 races won. He is definitely not finished at 26 and is sending a really strong team to the Breeders Cup.

His 1-2 -3 in the Arc last year and the 1-2-3-4 in this year's Dewhurst Stakes crown him as the greatest trainer of all time.

Saxon Warrior really had to dig deep under an inspired ride by Ryan Moore who has become the equivalent of his trainer amongst global jockeys.

Bedrock seemed like cruising in at Cheltenham for our racing syndicate but for one reason or another, he simply did not come up the hill. Back to the drawing board now.

Great to see Aintree back today - the course always looks in fantastic shape for its first winter meeting.

Vintage Clouds has so far failed to justify his reputation as the best horse in Sue Smith's stable but can notch up a valuable win in the 3.35 at Aintree.
