West Ham finally ended their manager saga by sacking the unlucky Bilic and replacing him with David Moyes who failed at his last two managerial jobs and with that in mind West Ham have only given him the job until the end of the season. In terms of football action this week there’s been the third set of group matches in the Check-a-Trade Trophy involving League One and Two clubs and Premier League Under 23 sides. Last night there were impressive wins for Rotherham 3-0 away at Bradford, League Two second place Accrington thrashing League One second place Wigan 4-0, MK Dons winning 4-3 away at Oxford United and Walsall winning 1-0 away at League One leaders Shrewsbury.
Tomorrow the World Cup qualifier play offs and International friendlies get underway and tonight’s play off first legs involve Croatia and Greece at the Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb and Northern Ireland against Switzerland at Windsor Park, Belfast. Croatia are unbeaten in their last eight international matches at home, winning six and drawing two, and they have won none of their three International home games against Greece drawing all three between 1996 and 2010. Northern Ireland have won seven of their last ten international home games and there only defeats came against Germany twice and Croatia once.
