Football

The weekend’s domestic football action gets underway tonight with a cracking top-six Premier league encounter between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium and the Gunners will want to gain revenge for their humiliating 4-0 defeat in the reverse fixture at the beginning of the season. There’s also the traditional Friday night Championship fixture and tonight’s encounter is between Norwich and Brentford at Carrow Road. Arsenal have enjoyed the majority of success in this corresponding Premier League fixture, they’ve won and drawn eight and only lost three of the last eighteen. Seven of the last ten corresponding encounters ended with less than three goals scored, but three of the last four did end with more than 2.5 goals scored, including last season’s seven goal thriller at the Emirates that went the way of Liverpool.

Tonight’s encounter will no doubt be highly entertaining as both teams adopt a high paced pressing and attacking approach and like to play on the counter attack. They have a wealth of attacking and goal scoring talent to choose from and hopefully we will see the best of this talent tonight scoring plenty of goals. From a betting perspective i think its worth opposing Arsenal either on the exchanges or by backing Liverpool on the handicap as Liverpool have had the upper hand in recent encounters and I also think Coutinho will feature on the scoresheet again after playing such an influential part in last seasons league win at the Emirates.
