This weeks ATP tennis action at Montpellier, Sofia and Quito is now underway and at Montpellier sixth seed and Next Gen star Rublev is through to the second round but seventh seed Ferrer crashed out at the first-round stage. Simon one of my outright selections this week made hard work of his opener against German qualifier Maden just scraping through on a third set tiebreak and he faces top-seed Goffin today. Fifth seed Gasquet who I advised this week gets his campaign underway today as does eighth seed Sugita and sixth seed Rublev is also involved again.

At Sofia sixth seed Troicki and seventh seed Sousa are both through to the second round, but eighth seed Donskoy lost his opener against Lacko. Fourth seed Kohlschreiber who I advised this week gets his campaign underway today as does fifth seed Haase. At Quito rain delayed play yesterday so they will have a busy day today trying to complete the unfinished matches as well as today’s scheduled ones.
