Liverpool insured England will at least have one representative in the Champions League quarter-finals after knocking out Porto 5-0 on aggregate last night however, the return leg was far removed from the first in terms of goals as it ended goalless. Defending Champions League Champions Real Madrid moved ominously one-step closer to reaching back-to-back finals after knocking out PSG in Paris last night. Real Madrid won 2-1 on the night thanks to second half strikes from Ronaldo and Casemiro and they progressed to the quarter-finals winning 5-2 on aggregate.

Tonight’s two Champions League fourth round return legs feature two English sides, firstly, Premier League leaders Manchester City, who carry a 4-0 lead from the first leg against Basel, back to the Etihad and they should face little opposition in stopping them making it two English sides in the quarter-finals. Spurs face a tougher task against Juventus back at Wembley tonight after the first leg ended 2-2, but Spurs do have the advantage of two away goals so if they can keep things really tight at the back and continue to dominate in attack as they have done at Wembley for the majority of this season they should be good enough to make it the English clubs in the quarter-finals.
