Second-Seed Cilic (advised 20/1) was the highest profile casualty on Tuesday night when he lost against the experienced American veteran and fourteenth seed Isner in disappointing fashion. Isner will face NextGen star and nineteenth seed Cheung for a place in the semi-finals and this will be the fourth time they’ve met, Isner winning the first two in 2016 and 2017 and Cheung won their most recent encounter at Auckland in three sets. Indian Wells winner and sixth seed Del Potro extended his winning run to fourteen matches last night when he swept aside twenty-second seed Krajinovic in straight sets.
Del Potro will face twentieth seed Raonic (advised 13/2 to win Third Quarter) for a place in the semi-finals and the head-to-head stands at two-all. Del Potro won their most recent encounter at Indian Wells in straight sets and with Del Potro showing no signs of slowing down I imagine Raonic will struggle to win again. At the time of writing sixteenth seed Carreno-Busta was through to the quarter-finals and he will face the winner of the sixth seed Anderson and NextGen star Tiafoe. Coric (advised 14/1 to win Second Quarter) is also through to the quarter-finals and he was due to face either fourth seed Zverev or seventeenth seed Kyrgios for a place in the semi’s.
