There’s a busy Easter Bank Holiday weekend of domestic football action ahead and things get underway this afternoon with a full set of Championship fixtures between midday and 19.45 this evening. There’s also a full set of EFL League One and Two fixtures today and the Premier League returns tomorrow and Sunday, and with the fight for glory, promotion and survival still on, there should be plenty of action and controversy, and numerous stories unfolding across the league’s come tea-time today and tomorrow.

Millwall and Nottingham Forest get today’s Championship action underway at The Den at midday, and in addition to the three-pm kick-off’s there’s three big games tonight and the main feature is the five-thirty kick-off between sixth place Middlesbrough and leaders Wolves at the Riverside. Second placed Cardiff are hot favourites to make it eight straight league wins at home against second-bottom Burton this afternoon, and if Cardiff do win they will close the gap on leaders Wolves to three points, with the leaders playing later at 19:45 as mentioned above.

Third-placed Fulham are unbeaten in their last sixteen league matches and are still in with a chance of automatic promotion should second-placed Cardiff start to falter. They face a tough trip to Norwich this afternoon, who have only lost one of their last ten in the league overall, but Fulham are in great form at present and with both teams scoring freely of late there’s a good chance there will be goals as well.

From a betting perspective there should be goals in the Norwich against Fulham match at Carrow Road and backing Over 2.5 Goals should go close to returning a profit. The Brentford against Sheffield United game at Griffin Park should also produce goals and backing Brentford & Over 2.5 Goals Match Result Double is worth considering at the odds. Finally, I think the game of the day between Middlesbrough and Wolves is a tough one to call, but with Wolves’ recent form being patchy and Boro in great form at the Riverside recently winning their last four in the league, I think this is a good time to take on Wolves.
