Tennis

The second week of the 2018 Wimbledon championships starts today and it’s a busy day with all the men’s and women’s fourth matches taking place. Top seed Federer and second seed Nadal are still on course for another Grand Slam final showdown. Federer should have little trouble dispatching Mannarino on centre court, but Nadal could face a sterner test against the big serving and hitting Czech Vesely, who has reached this stage only dropping one set.

With eight of the top-ten seeds out of the women’s draw twenty fifth seed and nine time champion Serena Williams once again is the player to beat on the hallowed SW19 turf but with the likes of seventh seed Pliskova, eleventh seed Kerber and the big hitting twelfth seed Ostapenko still in the draw, Serena is far from a sure thing as she is still early in to her comeback from giving birth.
