The domestic football action kicks off tonight with the traditional Friday night EFL Championship game. Tonight’s action is between two former Premier League clubs Birmingham and Swansea at St Andrews and Swansea and the Swans will be in confident mood and difficult to beat after winning their two opening league games against Sheffield Utd and Preston in impressive fashion. Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off at lunchtime between promoted Cardiff and Newcastle Utd at the Cardiff City Stadium and both teams will be fighting tooth and nail to pick up their first points of the season after losing their opening games.

The Premier League match of the day is the tea-time kick-off and it’s is a classic London derby blockbuster between Arsenal and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and new Arsenal manager Emery will be looking for improvement from his new team after their disjointed inexperienced 2-0 loss against Manchester City last weekend, while new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri will be looking for further improvement from his team after their impressive, comfortable 3-0 win away at Huddersfield last weekend.
