A busy weekend of domestic football kicks off tonight wit the two EFL Championship fixtures and leaders Leeds will look to beat mid table Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough and extend their lead at the top to put pressure on joint top Middlesbrough who play tomorrow. The other game is between play-off pushing Bristol City against mid-table Aston Villa at Ashton Gate and there is only a point behind between them and a won for Villa would be a huge positive to their promotion chances.

On Saturday the Premier League actions kicks-off with the traditional lunch-time kick-off and it’s a big one between West Ham and Manchester Utd at the London stadium and United will need to step up their performances considerably if they expect to win tomorrow as the Hammers have looked like a much better side now compared to how the season.

The match of the day is a real blockbuster at tea-time between league leaders Chelsea and third place Liverpool who meet for the second time this week after their pulsating 2-1 League Cup Win for Chelsea. Chelsea are the marginal favourites and they hold a 12-7 head-to-head win record in this corresponding league fixture against the Reds and they might just edge this one 2-0 or 2-1. Reigning champions Manchester City have a great chance to keep the pressure on joint league Liverpool and Chelsea and go top if Liverpool don’t win.

There’s pressure on big clubs Arsenal to beat Watford at the Emirates and Spurs to pick up three points at relegation contenders Huddersfield tomorrow. Arsenal are steadily improving under the stewardship and if they are solid at the back and their creative attacking players click they should move prove too strong for a dangerous Hornets team. Spurs are on an inconsistent run of form and have been losing games from winning/strong positions which is a worry for their confidence. I’m sure they’ll put in a more impressive performance tomorrow but they will need to really fight and scrap as Huddersfield are no push overs at home.

Selections:

Everton Win & O2.5 Goals (6/4)

Millwall Win (12/5)

QPR Win vs. Swansea (3/1)

Preston vs. West Brom Draw (5/2)
