Its quarter finals days on the ATP Tour at the ATP 500 Basel and Vienna indoor events. At Basel top two seeds and world number two and four Federer and Sascha Zverev are still on course for a blockbuster showdown between the best of the current generation and best of the next. Zverev faces eighth seed Bautista Agut and the young German leads the head-to-head 3-2 and will need to be at his best to beat the tough experienced Spaniard. One of last weeks tips Copil has frustratingly reached the quarter finals from qualifying this week and faces Wild Card NextGen star Fritz for the first time and this should be on paper a close one likely to go to three sets.
Federer will face either Simon or Gulbis for a place in the semi-finals and the other quarter final is between two red hot in form NextGen stars fourth seed Tsitsipas and Medvedev who both won indoor tournaments this month. Over At Vienna the top two seeds Thiem (advised 8/1) and Anderson are still on track to meet in the final but Thiem faces fifth seed Nishikori, who he’s never beaten losing their last two meetings, and Anderson has a good chance of making the semi-finals as he leads the head-to-head 3-1 against todays opponent sixth seed Coric.
Veterans Verdasco and Monfils meet and are both unseeded this week and are both in decent form at present. They face each other today for the sixth time and Monfils leads the head-to-head 3-2. Finally, frustratingly Kukushkin one of my recent tips has hit form as expected reaching the quarter finals this week but he faces a tough test today against one of the seasons surprise star players Fucsovics who has started playing well again after a quiet summer
