The hectic period of festive domestic Premier League and EFL Championship and League One and Two continues this weekend and with no early kick-offs all the action starts at 3pm. The match of the day is obviously the tea-time Premier League blockbuster encounter between leaders Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield and if the match it lives up to recent corresponding encounters between the two giants of the game, we should get plenty of entertainment, excitement and plenty of goal mouth action and goals.

Liverpool have also had the upper hand in the last two corresponding encounters winning 4-0 last season and 3-1 the previous season and on current form they look more than capable of picking up another valuable three points and at least maintain their current lead over nearest rivals Spurs, who faced Wolves at Wembley earlier, and Manchester City, who face another tricky away trip, this time at a resurgent Southampton, who won their last two under new German manager Hasenhuttl.
