The busy run of Premier League fixtures where clubs play three games in a week continues this weekend with a full set of games played over Saturday and Sunday and there’s also a full set of EFL Championship and League One and Two games taking place tonight and tomorrow. Tonight’s game is the live Friday night EFL Championship fixture between sixteenth place Preston and sixth place Derby at Deepdale and if the result goes the way of recent corresponding encounters Derby should edge tonight’s encounter and from a betting perspective BTTS should land comfortably and/or if you’re looking for a higher return you could consider backing BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals Match Double.
Saturday’s Premier League action kick-offs at lunchtime tomorrow between third place Spurs and fourteenth place Newcastle who should be high on confidence after recording one of the upsets of the season on Tuesday night when they beat reigning Premier League champions Manchester City 2-1 at St James Park. While many will fancy Newcastle to record another upset tomorrow after beating City, I’m not sure they’ll be able to repeat that level away from home at Wembley as they don’t have a great record away from home, especially against teams from London, and as a result I think Spurs will edge this one.
From the 3pm kick-offs Wolves look overpriced against Everton at Goodison Park and there should be goals so backing Wolves to win and/or if you are looking for a higher price Wolves Win and Over 2.5 Goals Match Double are both worth considering. I think there will be goals in the bottom six clash between Burnley and Southampton at Turf Moor so backing BTTS and/or if you’re searching for a better return BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals are both worth considering. The final Premier League game of the day is the live 5.30pm kick-off between third from bottom Cardiff and tenth place Bournemouth and if the Cherries play like they did against Chelsea on Wednesday night it could be a tough night for the Bluebirds who will do well to take a point.
