It was a good night in the Europa league for London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea last night as they who both recorded comprehensive 3-0 home wins against BATE and Malmo FF respectively.

It’s back to a busy weekend of domestic league action starting tonight with two Premier League games and the highlight on Sunday with the League Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester City. Both Premier League games involve relegation threatened seventeenth placed Cardiff and second bottom Fulham and the Bluebirds face eighth placed Watford at the Cardiff City Stadium and the other match is a London Derby between tenth placed Hammers and the Cottagers at the London Stadium.

From a betting perspective the Cardiff game by all counts should be a tight, low scoring defence dominated affair judging by both team’s respective league home and away form this season. However, most previous corresponding encounters have yielded goals and with both team’s playing well at present I’m leaning towards a more open, expansive game with goals and suggest backing Over 2.5 Goals and/or if you’re looking for a higher you may want to consider backing BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals match double.

West Ham and Fulham come in to this game on the back of a poor run of form, the Hammers having not won their last five overall while Fulham lost six of their last seven overall, the only win coming against Brighton. At home in the league the Hammers stats read much better winning five of their last of their last ten, drawing two, and their unbeaten in their last four.

Fulham’s league away form read’s even worse having lost nine of their last ten on the road, the only success being a 0-0 draw at Newcastle, and in all ten of these games they conceded 24 goals and could only muster five. If the Hammers can keep Fulham’s danger man Mitrovic quiet they should eventually over power Fulham and from a betting perspective you can consider backing Over 2.5 Goals and/or if you’re searching for a higher return West Ham Win & Over 2.5 Goals match double.

Moving on to Saturday and there’s a handful of Premier League games starting at lunchtime and a long list of EFL Championship, League One and Two fixtures. The lunchtime game is between fifteenth place Burnley and high flying Spurs in third and while Burnley are experiencing a good run going unbeaten in their last seven, unfortunately statistics are overwhelmingly against them on this occasion and everything points to a Spurs win. From a betting perspective you could consider backing Over 2.5 Goals match double and/or if you’re looking for a better return Spurs Win and Over 2.5 Goals match double

The two 3pm Premier League kick-offs are between eleventh placed Bournemouth and high flying Wolves in seventh at the Vitality Stadium and the other game is between Newcastle United in sixteenth and rock bottom Huddersfield who are already fourteen points adrift of the Magpies. From a betting perspective you may want to consider backing the Double of Under 2.5 Goals for the Newcastle match and for the Bournemouth game BTTS. If you’re looking for a better return why not consider backing Newcastle Win and Under 2.5 Goals.

The final Premier League game tomorrow is the live tea-time game is a mid-table clash between Leicester City and Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium. Leicester have struggled in front of their home fans this season winning only four times, scoring just a goal a game on average and they are currently on a three match home losing streak and are in the bottom half of the league home form table.

Palace have only won four times in the league away from home this season, average about a goal a game, however, since the week before Christmas they’ve lost one of their last five away games in all competitions, which was away at leaders Liverpool 4-3. In this period, they beat reigning Premier League champions Manchester City 3-2 at the Etihad, Wolves 2-0 at Molineux and Doncaster last time out in the FA Cup. From a betting perspective it’s worth opposing Leicester at home either on the exchanges or by backing Palace on the Handicap. If you’re searching for a higher return you may want to consider backing Crystal Palace Win and Under 3.5 Goals.

From the EFL Leagues starting with the Championship the top three of Norwich, Sheffield United and Leeds are all in action on a blockbuster day of top quality action and only two points separate them. On paper Leeds have the best chance of maintaining and even extending their lead at the top as they face second from bottom Bolton at Elland Road whereas Sheffield United and Norwich both face potentially much sterner tests against top-six opposition West Brom and Bristol City at home.

From a betting perspective there should be goals in the Brentford vs. Hull game at Griffin Park and Over 2.5 Goals looks a safe bet and/or if you’re looking for a better return you can consider backing BTTS & Over 3.5 Goals match double. The Norwich against Bristol City match at Carrow Road has the potential to be a classic as both are flying high in the top-six and plenty of Norwich’s home games produce goals often so I suggest either back Norwich to win and/or at a better price Norwich Win & BTTS ‘Yes’.

The other top-six clash tomorrow between second placed Sheffield United and fourth place West Brom and Brammal Lane also has the potential to be an entertaining high scoring affair and backing BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals should go close to landing and finally, it’s worth considering siding with Swansea to continue their impressive form from the weekend in the FA Cup away at struggling Sheffield Wednesday.
