Football

It’s another busy weekend of domestic football action across the Premier league and EFL Leagues and the pressure of glory and survival is turned up another notch once again. The match of the day on Saturda is of course the early lunch-time kick off between bitter London rivals fourth placed Arsenal and third placed Spurs at the Emirates and for many hardcore fans a win against there bitter rivals is more important than winning silverware!

Past corresponding encounters suggest goals and I don’t see that changing today as these games I usually frantic, end to end attacking affair with the forwards usually running the show. From a betting perspective if there’s an early goal the flood gates could easily open but if not I’m tempted to go for U2.5 Match Goals or at a bigger price Draw and Under 3.5 Goals match double.

Second place reigning Premier league champions MAN City travel to the South Coast to face an inconsistent but talented mid-table Cherries squad and the champions will be targeting this as a three pointer and the chance to pile more pressure on the nearest rivals. Previous corresponding encounters have all gone to City but the majority have been hard fought, competitive games and I don’t see any difference this time and it should be a 2-0 or 2-1 win for the visitors.

There’re big games involving relegation threatened clubs today as well, the biggest being a six-pointer between Brighton and Huddersfield at the Amex and while many will Have the Seagulls as the bankers on their coupons tis weekend I see this being a much closer affair and nature of these relegation battels tend to end low scoring win or a stalemate affair, which would suit Brighton better then Huddersfield.

Manchester United and Wolves will be popular choices on betting coupons today at home against fourth bottom Southampton at Old Trafford and third from bottom Cardiff away at high flying Wolves. The game between Crystal Palace and a resurgent Burnley will be a fiercely contested battle, which I think the Clarets will edge. And from a betting perspective Over 2.5 Goals should go close to landing and/or if you’re searching for a better return BTTS & O3.5 Goals match double could land at decent odds based on past corresponding encounters.

Finally, third from bottom Cardiff face a tough test at high flying Molineux and while everything points to three points for the Wolves I’ve seen some impressive performances from the Bluebirds and if Wolves underestimate them at all or have one eye on enjoying their summer break don’t be surprised to see an upset this afternoon and from a betting perspective you can consider backing Cardiff |+2 on the Handicap or at bigger odds.
