Domestic Premier League and EFL League football action returns this weekend after the International break and the majority of the top manager will be hoping their star players returned to their respective clubs injury free. First-up we are treated to a real cracker, a midlands derby between fourth place promotion pushing West Brom and Birmingham who are languishing towards the bottom end of the table in eighteenth.
These games are usually highly charged affairs given the club rivalries that feature plenty of controversy, cards and from a neutral point of views goals. Burnley are only two point ahead of third from bottom Cardiff who don’t play until tomorrow so this is a big chance for the Clarets and Blues to pile some early pressure on the Bluebirds by extending their lead over them. Burnley have struggled to defend and contain teams at the back this seson , they’ve been fifring on more goals of late and with such a potent attacking force like Wolves visiting we could be in for a high scoring game so backing BTTS & O2.5 Goals is worth considering or if you’re in search of a better price the Wolves & O2.5 match double is worth considering.
Rock bottom Huddersfield face a tough trip to London to face fourteenth place Palace and the Hatters will do well to leave London with a point given Palace’s form the second half of this season.
The other two 3pm kick offs are a mid-table clash between Leicester and Bournemouth at the King Power and I think the Tigers will nick this one while fifth place Manchester United face a tricky home tie against high flyers eighth place Watford and the Reds will need to be at their sharpest defensively if they don’t want to be embarrassed in front of their home fans.
