It’s another busy weekend o the domestic football front with Premier League action starting for a change tonight when Southampton face title chasing Liverpool at St Mary’s and tomorrow there’s Premier League, EFL Championship and League One and Two action and of course the first FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Brighton at Wembley.

Tonight’s Premier League game is a huge one in terms of the title race and nothing less than a win will do for Liverpool who will surely face stiff opposition against a rejuvenated and tough and well organised Saint’s side. There’s nothing much between the two teams in terms of past corresponding fixtures having both won five of the last thirteen encounters and just over 50% ended with two or more goals scored. In terms of a betting strategy I think backing or trading the Draw is worth considering or if you’re in search of a better price you can consider backing Hojbjerg Pierre-Emile for Southampton to be booked/carded as he’s already accumulated nine so far this season.

It’s a quiet day for the Premier League on Saturday with just three game and they all involve teams in the middle of the relegation scrap. mid-table Bournemouth face fourth from bottom Burnley at the Vitality Stadium and a win for Burnley today will surely see them safe from relegation as they already have a five lead over third from bottom Cardiff City. I think Burnley will be more up for this and their recent form has been better than the Cherries and it should be a high tempo attacking, open game with a decent number of goals which usually are one of the highlights of Bournemouth games.

There’s nothing between the to teams in terms of pat corresponding encounters, both winning two of the last five and Burnley won 2017/2018 season corresponding fixture 2-1 and I expect a similar result today so if you’re looking for bets you can consider opposing Bournemouth on the exchanges or Handicap markets. If you’re looking for better return you can consider backing Burnley & O2.5 Goals match double or BTTS & O3.5 Goals match double.

Already relegated Huddersfield face ninth place Leicester City at home and it will be difficult for the Terriers to raise their spirits and performance enough with nothing to play for and I see Leicester nicking this one 1-0 or 2-0 with Vardy to continue his impressive strike rate. You can also consider backing Mathias or Schindler to be Booked/Carded for Huddersfield as they’ve accumulated thirteen between them this season or alternatively Ndidi for Leicester is also worth considering to be Booked/Carded as he’s accumulated Leicester City’s highest number of yellow cards this season.

The one other Premier League game tomorrow is between Newcastle United and Crystal Palace at St James Park and while both are in the bottom half, they are six and seven points clear of the relegation zone respectively. Newcastle have a good record against Palace at home winning six of the last eight competitive encounters and five of the six wins ended with Under 2.5 Goals 1-0 or 2-0 and I expect a similar outcome today.

The big game of tomorrow is of course the FA Cup semi-final between City and Brighton at Wembley and on current form it’s hard to see past another dominant City performance and maybe with a 2-0 or 3-0 score-line and Mane and Jesus both featuring on the scoresheet if they start.
