Manchester City’s Hopes of the Quatro Shattered by VAR.
Two hugely controversial VAR decisions ended Manchester City’s hopes of winning four competitions last night in an incredible match at the Ehtihaad.
City put on their best ever performance to score four great goals with Kevin De Bruyne giving the best midfield performance I have ever seen but they were undermined by some sloppy defending with Emerson and Laporte having nights they would rather forget.
They scored a fifth goal in extra time which looked to everyone to be the winner only for VAR to cancel the goal due to an offside in the build up- earlier, Spurs third goal was given by VAR despite an apparent hand ball by Lorente the scorer.
City must feel they are never going to do it in Europe after last night compounded earlier misfortunes. Spurs now face Ajax in the semi- finals but will be without both Kane and Son.
Elsewhere Liverpool crushed Porto 4-1 and look to be favourites to beat Barcelona.
