Spurs failed to breach the Ajax defence in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg and lost 0-1 on the night at their new super stadium and they will have to step there game up considerably in Amsterdam for the second leg if they are going to reach their first ever Champions League final. The second UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg kicks-off tonight at 8pm and history could be on Liverpool’s (advised 14/1 ante post) side based on past European encounters as they’ve not lost at the Camp Nou in three meetings between 2001 and 2007 drawing two and winning the last encounter 1-2. It should be a fascinating game tactically and I think the Reds could escape with at least a draw tonight and a valuable away goal.
In the EFL Championship last night Bristol City boosted their play-off chances with a hard fought come from behind 1-2 win at Millwall who stay fourth bottom four points clear of the relegation zone. Sunderland and Portsmouth both blew great chances to put more pressure on automatic promotion place holders second place Barnsley and leaders Luton after they both lost last night against Fleetwood 2-1 and Peterborough 2-3 respectively.
