Despite playing well for most of the match, Liverpool were destroyed by a virtuoso performance by Lionel Messi in the Champions League last night going down 3-0.

The highlight of Messi’s performance was a stunning 35 yard free kick goal.

It is looking like England won’t have a finalist in Europe’s premier competition.
