It’s quarter finals day on the ATP Tour at the ATP 250 Munich and Estoril events and at Munich the seeded players are doing well with top seed Zverev bouncing back to form and he faces a true test of where his games at against the in-form unseeded Garin from Chile for the first time today. The other quarter final from the top-half of the Munich draw is between two seeds. Third seed Cecchinato faces eighth seed Fucsovics and this one could go the way of the Hungarian as he leads the head-to-head 2-0 with both wins coming last year on clay here at Munich and hard courts in straight sets.

One of the match ups from the bottom half of the Munich draw also features two seeded players as the in-form seventh seed Pella faces a tough test against fourth seed Bautista Agut won their only encounter on hard courts back in 2017 and is favourite to win today and if he plays anywhere near his best he should progress to tomorrows semi-finals. The final quarter final is between two unseeded players, the red hot Italian clay star Berrettini who is bucking the trend after winning Budapest last week and he faces home hope Kohlschreiber (advised 22/1) for the first time and hopefully Kohlschreiber and home crowd support will be enough for him to cause the upset.

At Estoril it’s been a good week for seeded players in general as top-seed Tsitsipas (advised 10/3) is still in action and he faces Portuguese qualifier Domingues for the first time and while Domingues may raise his game to a new level in front of a passionate home crowd I think Tsitsipas will still prevail given his superior talent and experience. Fourth seed Goffin looks like he might be bouncing back to form as he swept aside defending home champion Sousa in straight sets yesterday, but he faces a potentially tricky encounter against the surprise package of the tournament so far this week veteran Jaziri who leads the head-to-head 2-0.

From the bottom have of the draw third seed Monfils faces a potentially tough test against little known NextGen Spanish qualifier Alejandro Davidovich Fokina aged 19 who is ranked 167 and has already knocked out higher ranked stars Fritz and veteran Chardy. The remaining quarter final is between veteran Cuevas (advised 20/1) and either defending champion Tiafoe or Japanese star Nishioka.

Selections:
