The Rome Masters 1000 Series third round should be completed by today and there’s a few players who have already reached this stage including rising Italian star Wild Card Berrettini (advised 150/1) who recorded the biggest individual win of his career yesterday knocking out fourth seed Sascha Zverev in straight sets. Twelfth seed Medvedev also crashed out in the first round against Aussie Kyrgios as did veteran fifteenth seed against veteran Spaniard and qualifier Ramos Vinolas.
Three other players also reached the third round along with Berrettini yesterday eleventh seed Khachanov, thirteenth seed Coric and fourteenth seed Basilashvili who beat Bautista Agut, Corrie and Djere respectively. The top three seeds Djokovic (advised 3/1), defending champion Nadal and third seed Federer all join the action today and they should progress to the third round against Shapovalov, Chardy and Sousa respectively as they’ve never lost to them in there previous encounters. Fifth seed Thiem (advised 6/1) will also try and make it to the third round today but he could be in for a tough test against veteran Verdasco who leads the head-to-head 3-0 so if you’ve backed Thiem outright you may want to consider laying your stake back in case he loses to him again.
