This Week's Golf Update

Mulligan

A fantastic 63 by Shane Lowry at The Open has made it very difficult for anyone to catch him, with perhaps Tommy Fleetwood the only one close enough to challenge. That round alone deserves to win a major, but he will be under pressure today and needs to get off to a steady start. Unless they both have implosions, then it is likely one of the two will win, although the forecast of bad weather later on could make things interesting. Our guys have all played well and all five selections have a chance of placing so all is not lost but a win looks too much to ask for.

In America, Bill Haas is on -20 in the Barbasol Championship having shot 66,65 and 66, but still finds himself in third place, four off the lead as Herman and Kraft hit 62 and 61 respectively to occupy the first two places. Haas will need another good round, but he does have experience and our 45/1 pre-event selection is still in with a big shout
