A good result in Memphis with Brooks Koepka our second winner in three weeks and hopefully some of you may have backed Collin Morikawa in the Barracuda Championship who we tipped in the John Deere when he finished an excellent fourth.

Wyndham Championship August 1-4 Greensboro North Carolina

This is a really important event for those on the edge of qualifying for the FedEx play-offs, so do not be surprised if some players suddenly find some form, particularly in the first two rounds, before the pressure hits them at the weekend. Accurate play is rewarded here as can be seen from the list of previous winners. Brandt Snedeker is the defending champion winning last year by 3 shots from Webb Simpson and Cheng Tsung Pan. He has not won since, but has shown glimpses of form recently, with two top five finishes. Simpson finished second to Koepka last week and will probably be a strong favourite here but 11/1 doesn’t really reflect his chances and he is easily passed over. This is wide open so what we need to look for is some value from a combination of players in form and those with course experience. I also cannot have Matsuyama or Spieth at the prices, but I think Morikawa can continue to go well and is clearly a star of the future. Paul Casey doesn’t win unless it is handed to him on a plate and Patrick Reed seems to have his mind somewhere else at the moment, although as a previous winner he cannot be totally written off. A number of players come under consideration and I expect the likes of Billy Horschel, Chez Reavie, Cameron Smith and Martin Kaymer to go well here whilst a couple at bigger prices, Kevin Streelman and Corey Conners may well reward traders if backing to lay.
