Sixteenth seed Goffin faces unseeded Japanese rising star Nishioka for the third time tonight; Goffin won their first encounter at Tokyo back in 2016, but Nishioka won their most recent match at Washington this month in three sets and will be quietly confident of recording another upset tonight. If Bautista Agut wins tonight and you backed him for the tournament, I advised hedging your bet by backing either Goffin or Nishioka to win their semi-final and at least cover your outright stakes this week as both Goffin and Nishikoa have beaten Bautista Agut in recent seasons.
